Scheduling & Dispatch
Rollout's scheduling system is designed to be simple and visual. No training sessions required.
The Calendar
The main calendar shows all scheduled jobs across your team. You can view by:
- Week view — See the full week at a glance
- Day view — Detailed view of a single day
- Team view — See all technicians side by side
Scheduling a Job
- Click on an empty time slot on the calendar
- Select or create a customer
- Add job details (type, description, estimated duration)
- Assign a technician
- Save — the technician gets a push notification on their phone
You can also drag and drop jobs to reschedule them.
Recurring Jobs
For maintenance contracts and regular service visits:
- Create a job as usual
- Toggle "Recurring" on
- Set the frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Set an end date or leave it open-ended
Recurring jobs automatically appear on the calendar. You can edit or skip individual occurrences without affecting the series.
Dispatching
When a technician is assigned to a job, they see it in their mobile app. The job includes:
- Customer name and address
- Job description and notes
- One-tap directions (opens in their preferred maps app)
- Estimated travel time
Tips
- Color-code job types to quickly scan the calendar (installs = blue, repairs = red, maintenance = green)
- Use the team view when scheduling to spot availability gaps
- Set job durations accurately to avoid overlapping appointments
